Here at Big Smiles Dental we believe in providing the latest in dentistry care. The reason why our doctors attend courses thru the year to implement new technologies for the benefit of our patients.

Our advanced technologies
01. Oral Cancer Screening
Make it a must during every visit.
Big Smiles Dental believes oral cancer screenings are a critical component of every visit to our office. Advances in technology make it easier to pinpoint potential cancer symptoms earlier than in the past. Any potential oral cancer should be treated as quickly as possible before it becomes an irreversible problem.
An oral cancer screening is often completed with an ultraviolet light or a similar device that allows the dentist to view issues that cannot always be detected by the naked eye.
The health of tissues in the mouth can also be affected by the lifestyle choices of the patient. If a patient smokes cigarettes or drinks too much alcohol, regular screenings should be scheduled with every visit.
02. Rotary Endodontics
What if root canals were painless and stress-free?
OK, maybe there is not such a thing, but a new technology in endodontics is making the root canal experience more efficient and more comfortable for patients. Rotary endodontics involves the use of an electric-powered drill that has a nickel titanium tip that makes drilling easier because the tip is more flexible than the traditional stainless-steel files.
During a root canal procedure, infected roots and nerves inside the tooth are removed. The pulp, or roots and nerves, are removed because the infection is causing pain.
Rotary endodontics utilizes an electrical handpiece that allows the dentist to perform the root canal quicker and with less discomfort for the patient.
03. Digital X-Ray
X-ray advances give dentists more to view.
Dentists can get a better look at the teeth of their patients with the help of digital X-rays.
Digital X-ray technology is becoming more common throughout the industry because it allows a dentist to get a more precise view of a decayed or damaged tooth. After the X-ray is taken, the image is placed in an imaging program.
Within the imaging program, tools allow the dentist to take a precise look at the teeth and surrounding structures with amazing accuracy. Digital X-rays also produce nearly 80 percent less radiation than a standard X-ray.
04. 360 Digital X-Ray
360 Digital X-ray give dentists more to view. It is an extension of the Digital X-Ray.
Within the imaging program, tools allow the dentist to take a precise look at the whole denture structure and surrounding structures with amazing accuracy. 360 Digital X-rays also produce nearly 80 percent less radiation than a standard X-ray.
